Yume grew up in Japan where acupuncture and herbal medicine are woven into everyday life. She brings doula experience and impeccable style (she gave me half my wedding vendor advice!). Thoughtful, gentle, and highly skilled.

 

Tara Gregory, LAc

Clinical Focus: Joint & muscle pain, headaches, menstrual disorders, digestive distress, fertility, pregnancy

Tara owns Dynamic Acupuncture, teaches yoga, and has extra training in Chinese medicine dietary therapy. Thoughtful, strong with orthopedic and internal conditions, and a steady presence for complex health journeys. She volunteered in Nepal in 2012.

Judy is a compassionate practitioner, clinically strong across both pain and a wide range of conditions. I connected with her through North Portland Community Acupuncture. She’s deeply committed to accessible care for Black, Brown, Asian-Pacific Islander, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA communities.

 

Mallory Harman-Nguyen, LAc

Clinical Focus: Trauma-informed care, chronic pain, anxiety, grief, addiction recovery support, community health.

Mallory is a deeply grounded practitioner with over a decade of experience working in the US and abroad (Nepal, Perú, Nicaragua, México). She owns and leads yourdearbody, and also provides care through the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and Great Circle Recovery PDX, where she supports communities navigating substance use disorders.

 

Cheryl Chen, LAc

White Phoenix acupuncture: 6913 SE Foster Rd


Clinical Focus: Pain, athletic injuries/rehab, chronic illness recovery, addiction and trauma-informed support.

Cheryl works at White Phoenix in SE Portland (founded by a Nepal 2009 volunteer) and also with Mallory at Great Circle Recovery PDX. A former NUNM student of mine with a strong biomedicine background, she’s excellent with pain, athletic injuries, chronic illness recovery, and supporting patients navigating addiction or trauma.

 

Grace Rodriguez, LAc

Grace is an exceptional listener. Her treatments often include hands-on bodywork and a grounded presence. She works at two wonderful clinics: NE Portland (Zócalo) and SW (yourdearbody), and are great with folks navigating trauma, addiction, and regulation difficulties.

 

Abby Wollman, LAc

A rock climber, fashion designer, secret roller-disco skater, and Olive Lighting Heart’s honorary auntie. Abby is playful, grounded, and excellent with musculoskeletal pain thanks to her Nepal clinical work. Stylish, steady, and great with anxious or sensitive patients.

 

Haley Bott, LAc

Haley has an incredible sense of people: bartending at Coquina through school sharpened that, and she meshes well with almost anyone. She’s also a gifted photographer (she took so many amazing photos when she volunteered in Nepal!). Warm, intuitive, great with complex pain patterns.

 

Dr. Haosheng Zhang, MD (China), LAc

Haosheng Acupuncture - 4160 SE Division Street

Clinical focus: Internal medicine, GI and pain conditions, hormonal and autoimmune issues, neurological disorders, cancer support, and injuries.

Dr. Zhang has over 35 years of experience in acupuncture and Chinese medicine, with deep training in both hospital-based internal medicine and classical herbalism. He excels in complex internal conditions and was my herbal teacher at NUNM; I highly recommend him for herbal consults and acupuncture.

 

Nora Grod, LAc

Clinical focus: women’s health and hormonal balancing, autoimmune conditions, stress and anxiety

Nora is an amazing acupuncturist and Chinese medicine herbalist, with a specialization in Classical herbal formulas from the Shanghan Zabing Lun. I have known her for a long time and many of you already came to see me in her SE clinic when she rented space to me while I was recovering from the pandemic clinic closures. I highly recommend her.
